NR 22-23 Elderly couple identified in death investigation

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office has identified the couple who were found deceased yesterday afternoon in unincorporated Rockledge.  They are identified as 89-year-old David Horn and his wife, 84-year-old, Martha Horn.

The investigation began when deputies responded to the area of Glenn Avenue in unincorporated Rockledge after a family member reported the couple missing from their residence.  The couple were both suffering from the infirmities of aging and were discovered during a search of the area, deceased in a nearby drainage swale.  They were transported to the Brevard County Medical Examiner’s Office where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.  Based on the investigation to date, Agents do not suspect any criminal involvement or foul play in their deaths.
