NR 22-19 Sheriff’s Office conducting death investigation
The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a death investigation that occurred this evening at a residence on Hunt Drive in Merritt Island. Deputies responded at approximately 9:00 p.m. after the Sheriff’s Office was contacted by an occupant of the home who advised that there was a deceased person inside the residence. Upon arrival, deputies located a male victim who was pronounced deceased at the scene. The decedent was also living at the residence.
Agents from the Homicide and Crime Scene Units are currently in the process of interviewing potential witnesses and collecting evidence to determine the circumstances surrounding the death. The Sheriff’s Office is not releasing the name of the victim at this time and no arrests have been made. Further information will be provided as it becomes available.
