NR 21-41 Update: Playalinda Beach Death Investigation

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is identifying the male who was pronounced deceased during a death investigation at Playalinda Beach on July 18, 2021.  The male is identified as 73-year-old, Edmond Hayle of Palm Bay.

The investigation thus far has determined that while in the surf, Mr. Hayle began to act as if he was in some type of physical or medical distress.  He was assisted to shore where he became unresponsive and was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

Agents are awaiting the results of an autopsy by the Brevard County Medical Examiner for a determination on Mr. Hayle’s exact cause of death.
