INVESTIGATIVE UPDATE – DECEDENT IN MERRITT ISLAND DEATH INVESTIGATION IDENTIFIED

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office has identified the female who was found deceased Saturday morning, May 15, 2021, in Merritt Island.

The investigation commenced when Deputies responded to an apartment on Schoolhouse Lane at approximately 11:15 a.m. Saturday after a call was received advising that the resident, 35-year-old Alicia Campitelli of Merritt Island appeared to be deceased.  Upon arrival, deputies located Campitelli inside the residence where she was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing as agents continue to conduct interviews and examine evidence from the scene.  Based on the information thus far obtained it appears that this was an isolated incident.  No arrests have been made at this time.  Updates will be provided as new information becomes available.
