NR 20-12 Sheriff’s Office Conducting Death Investigation
The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident that occurred early this morning in unincorporated Cocoa.
The investigation began June 19, 2020, at approximately 1:38 a.m. when deputies responded to a residence on Ackley Road in unincorporated Cocoa reference a male who had been shot. Upon arrival deputies found a male inside the residence suffering from gunshot wounds. The male was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the male may have been the target of a robbery attempt.
At this time the Sheriff’s Office is not releasing the name of the victim. The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made.
