NR 19-43 UPDATE: Sheriff’s Office Investigation Cocoa Shooting Investigation
The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office has identified the suspect shot and killed during an attempted home invasion on December 4, 2019 in unincorporated Cocoa. The decedent is identified as 27-year-old, Antonio Wallace of Cocoa.
The investigation began December 4, 2019, shortly after noon, when a 911 call was received from an individual who reported they shot a person attempting to burglarize the residence he was at. The caller advised that as the suspect was attempting to climb through the window, the caller fired at the suspect, who fell back out of the window. Upon the arrival of deputies, a deceased male subject was located in the backyard of the residence.
The investigation is ongoing and upon completion will be forwarded to the State Attorney’s Office for review.
