NR 20-05 Public Access Hours to Sheriff’s Office Facilities

Beginning at 5:00 p.m. today, Friday, March 20, all Sheriff’s Office facilities, (*Exceptions: Animal Care Center, Brevard County Jail Complex, Parkway Complex, Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Port Badging Office and the Criminal Investigative Services Sex Offender/Predator Lobby) will be closed to the public for the health and safety of county residents and County employees during the COVID-19 crisis.

The closure will extend through at least Wednesday, April 15th, unless circumstances change.

All Brevard County Courthouses will remain open to the public.

The public is encouraged to make use of online services on brevardsheriff.com or call for assistance at North Area 321-264-5100, Central Area 321-633-7162 and South Area 321-952-6371.  Your patience and understanding are appreciated while staff continues to respond to inquiries and requests via telephone and email.   While these lobbies will be closed to the general public, all Brevard County Sheriff’s Office operations will continue in the service and protection of our citizens.

The main lobby for the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Jail Complex located at 860 Camp Road, Sharpes, will remain open to the public at all times.  For information about services, please call (321) 690-1500.

The BCSO Parkway Complex located at 700 Park Avenue, Titusville, will remain open to the public, Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  For information about services please call 321-264-5201.

The BCSO Criminal Investigative Services Complex located at 340 Gus Hipp Boulevard, Rockledge will remain open for Sexual Offender Registrations, 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.  For information about services please call 321-633-8407.

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, Port Badging Office located at 660 Magellan Road, Port Canaveral will remain open Monday – Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (closed Noon – 1:00 for lunch).  For information about services please call 321-735-6810.

The BCSO Animal Care Center located at 5100 West Eau Gallie Boulevard, Melbourne, will remain open to the public, Monday thru Saturday 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Sunday Noon – 4:00 p.m. For information about services please call 321-633-2024.

We have temporarily suspended in person license sales at all 3 of our Animal Services locations. Licenses may still be purchased by the following methods:

The message for prevention continues to be individual responsibility, with the key focus on social distancing and avoidance of large gatherings to prevent the spread of germs. Individuals should continue to wash their hands often and thoroughly, using soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.

Other measures to aid in prevention include:
• Practice social distancing by keeping 6 feet between yourself and others;
• Avoid large gatherings;
• Self-isolate if you are sick; and
• Call your regular physician, local emergency room, or urgent care clinic for screening to determine whether you should be seen by medical personnel.

Brevard County residents may call 2-1-1 between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. for up-to-date information regarding coronavirus.

After hours, anyone with questions should call the FDOH COVID-19 Call Center at 866-779-6121. The call center is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
